This is actually from 2013, but want to get back to solar charging......

I would like to use solar panels to charge the batteries.
I liked this concept:

Charging at public charging stations

Finally got all the ducks in a row and am charging at the Honolulu Zoo as I write this post.
I moved the 110 charging port to a location behind the rear license plate, where I added a hinge.
Here is the new 220 charging port.
Plugged in.
Installed a switch to go from 110 to 220

Can you say spaghetti?
The idea is that each power strip can supply two power supplies. Presently I have 2 pairs, but plan to expand to 3 pairs for faster charging. The power strips come with their own breaker which is a nice safety feature.
I changed out the 12 v charger and the 12 v power supply for the fan for  models that automatically switch from 110 to 220

keeping the batteries cool

I wrapped the hood with a white vinyl carbon fibre look alike. Should keep the batteries cooler.

2.0 continued

I installed the charger inlet in the old gas door. Gotta love it::

Here is the charger in the back, note the relay which is part of the BMS which shuts down the charger when any cell reaches 3.65 volts:

Here is what it looks like under the hood now.  On the far right the little grey box contains the circuit board for the BMS:

I relocated the pot box and added a back up spring:
